Notes
Death
Michael Allen Furr passed away on October 29, 2023 at the tender age of 60. He was born in Columbus on January 28, 1963 and has called Johnstown home for the last 60 years. Preceded in death by his mother Dorothy "Dottie" Crumm, his father Steven James "Jim" Furr, and his niece Tonya Furr. Survived by his wife Amy Furr, parents Marty and Dave Francisco and Ginny Furr, brothers Steve (Debi) Furr and Jeff (Pam) Furr, his sons Tony and Nick (Rachel) Furr, daughter Katie (Will) Carter; grandchildren Kyleigh, Mackenzie, Jolene, Paisley, Wesley, Easton and Indie; so many more family members that he loved. Mike was a people person. He loved being with others, spoiling his family, and lending a helping hand whenever he could. He greeted everyone with a smile and a huge, welcoming hug. He was an avid Disney lover and enjoyed spoiling his family with trips to see Mickey every chance he got. When he wasn't spoiling them at Disney, you could find him spoiling them at the beach, or just spoiling them in everyday life. All with the help of Amy, of course. Family time was his favorite time and wouldn't dare miss any kind of sporting event, performance, or birthday. Mike was dedicated to his career at Karn Meats and took pride in doing his very best for his work family. Farming was in his blood and he would spend any spare time at the tree farm. If he wasn't watching his grandbabies, taking Amy on dates, working at Karn, on someone's house, or on the farm, you could find him with his Monday Night Crew watching football and talking about life. Mike was one of a kind and made an impact wherever he went. He loved fiercely and taught us how to live life to the fullest with the largest, most giving heart. He will be so greatly missed. We will be celebrating his life on Saturday, November 4th at Needle and Pine Tree Farm with a message from our pastor at 11:00am. Join us for a toast at OSU halftime. Attire is informal. Buckeye gear, Johnnie wear, and comfy clothes are appropriate. Mike loved to help others and continues to do that by being an organ donor. Our family is directing any donations to assist in his efforts to Lifeline of Ohio. Advantage by Schoedinger North has been entrusted with his private cremation.Endnotes
