Death
BILOXI — Laddie Joe Furr, 61, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, in Biloxi. Mr. Furr was a native of Natchez and a resident of the Coast since 1973. He was a 20-year Air Force veteran serving in Vietnam. He was of the Protestant faith and was a master mason with the Grand Lodge of Mississippi. He was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where he received a bachelor of science degree in computer science and was employed for 16 years with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Jefferson Davis Campus. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe M. Furr; his mother, Unice Hall; and his stepmother, Mavis Furr. Survivors include his wife, Mary N. Furr of Biloxi; a daughter, Teresa Furr Moon of Biloxi; a brother, James Steve Furr of California; and a granddaughter, Haley E. Moon. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7 tonight at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. A procession will leave the funeral home Wednesday for an 11:30 a.m. graveside service at Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.Sun Herald Biloxi, Mississippi · Tuesday, December 14, 1999
