Death
Mrs. Emsley Harwood, 71 years of age, died at her home near Millingport, on Albemarle, route 3, last Thursday following an attack of pneumonia. Funeral services were held Friday morning at 10 o’clock at the Salem church. Mrs. Harwood had been a faithful member of this church, and had lived a good, Christian life. The funeral services were largely attended and the flora offerings were exceptionally beautiful. Besides her husband, Mrs. Harwood is survived by the following children: Jonah Harwood, of Concord; Misses Dallie and Cora, of Charlotte; Rufus, Dalson, of near the home place. Mrs. Harwood was one of the well known women of her community and had many friends. She will be missed not only by the immediate members of the family, but by her church and the community at large.
