Death
WINNSBORO (Special) — Mrs. Mary C. Furr, 86, of Sicily Island, died in a local rest last night. Funeral services were scheduled to be held at the First Baptist Church of Sicily Island to am, Tuesday with the Rev. J. B. Lucas officiating and the Rev. A. N. Baum assisting. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a member of the Sicily Island First Baptist Church. Interment arrangements were incomplete but will be under direction of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Surviving are a son, Clark Salter of Sicily Island; four stepsons, Roy G. Furr of Sicily Island; Dennis Furr of Mayna; Clyde Furr of Vidalia and Farand Furr of Nogales, Ariz.; four step-daughters, Mrs. Curtis Thurman, Wisner; Miss Mary Etta Furr of Gilbert; Mrs. Deleta Peniston and Mrs. Virgie Bird, both of Sicily Island; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. E. P. Conn of Vidalia and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Don A. Baxter, Ray Golman, L. W. Franks, E. W. Gambrell, B. K. Miller and M. B. Nolan Sr.Endnotes
