Death
THOMASVILLE - Reather Monroe Lowder, 65, of 115 Highland Ave. died Tuesday at 7:38 a.m., while working at Freemont Hoisery Mill. Death was attributed to a heart attack. He was born in Stanly County June 14, 1900, a son of Mr. and Mrs. David Lowder. He had lived in Thomasville for four years. He was a member of Canton Baptist Church in Stanly County. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert Long of High Point and Mrs. J. E. Thompson of Naples, Fla.; one son, Harold N. Lowder of Rt. 6, Winston- Salem; four sisters, Mrs. Travis Helms and Mrs. Gertie Bowers, both of Albemarle, Mrs. Nealie Kelly of Troy and Mrs. Stella Russell of Salisbury; and two brothers, Clinton Lowder of Albemarle and Albert Lowder of Bridgeport, Conn. Funeral was to he held today at 3 p.m. at Canton Baptist Church near Albemarle by Rev. O. H. Bolch. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will remain at J. C. Green and Sons Funeral Home until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.Endnotes
