Death
Virginia White Furr, 86, of Charlotte, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on April 14, 2025. Born on February 9, 1939, in Charlotte, NC, Virginia was the daughter of the late Thomas Edward “T.E.” White, Sr. and Marie Morrow White. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard White, and his wife, Kay White. Virginia was a lifelong member of Plaza Baptist Church. She lived a life marked by quiet strength, unwavering devotion, and a selfless spirit. A woman of deep faith, Virginia's love for Jesus was evident in the way she served and cared for those around her. She was the beloved wife of Clifford A. “Pete” Furr, Jr. for 66 years and a devoted mother to Ricky Furr (Sandra), Timothy Furr, and Darrin Furr (Carey). She was a loving grandmother to Anthony “TJ” Williams (Kelly), Matthew Chase Furr, Kaylee Furr, and Jacob Furr, and a great-grandmother to Emrie Williams, Barrett Williams, and Montgomery Furr. Virginia is also survived by her brother, Thomas Edward “Tommy” White, Jr., and his wife, Jane Ann White. She will be remembered as a godly woman who found her greatest joy in her faith and her family. Her legacy of love and service will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. A visitation for Virginia will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at McEwen Funeral Service – Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227, with a service to follow. Virginia will be laid to rest immediately after the service at Charlotte Memorial Gardens, 7632 Hood Road, Charlotte, NC 28215.Endnotes
