Death
Walter James Evans, 75, of Farmington, died May 13 at Farmington Community Hospital. He was born April 19, 1910 in Greenville. Mr. Evans was an army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Furr Mullinax Evans of Farmington; two daughters: Mrs. Brenda Caples, of Kansas City and Linda, of Kansas City; four stepdaughters: Virginia (Mrs. Tommy) Wade, of Farmington, Joyce (Mrs. Milburn) Cunningham, of Iron Mountain Lake, Viola (Mrs. Lee) Faulkner, of Colo.; one son, Bill of Farmington; three two brothers: 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends may call 5 p.m. today at the Miller Funeral Home. Services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Miller Chapel with Rev. Richard Hedger officiating. Burial will be in the Doc Run Memorial Cemetery.Endnotes
