She married James (Jim) Beach Jr, December 15, 1959 and he preceded her in death. Bernice enjoyed working hard, whether it was on the family farm, at HRK Warehouse in Marion, Kansas, the store that she and Jim built and operated for more than 35 years, or caring for her family. Everything she did was with a positive attitude that was infectious and with dedication and love. Her involvement included being a member of the Marion Chamber of Commerce, was an active leader in 4-H, EHU, girl scouts, cub scouts, and PTA. She spent many hours attending any and all school activities of her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces, nephews, and family friends. She rarely missed ball games, wrestling matches, grandparent's days, school plays, or any other event that included her family. Bernice also was a talented seamstress and made many of her husband's and family's clothes over the years. She also enjoyed photography, gardening, fishing, and anything that allowed her to be outside. If you knew her, you liked her. She was also preceded in death by her brother, L.B. McCombs; sister, Kay Justice; grandchildren Tony, Misty, and Jessey. She is survived by: son, Jim Beach and partner Jaclyn; daughters, Jan Lanier and husband Steve, Peggy Gomez, Connie Donnely and husband Tim, Charlotte Door, Sherry Pressler and husband Ronnie, Sally Beach, and a bonus daughter/granddaughter, Wendy Simon and husband Stacy; sister, Louise Arnold; brother, Jim "Lucky" Ball and wife Lona; grandchildren, Jon, Jacob, Jessica, Corey, Ben, Denise, Sherry, Eddie, Tamara, Ronnie, Wesley, C.J., Scott, Jamie, Timmy, Casey, Brian, Kenny, Kelly, Rebecca; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
