Death
Mrs. Margaret Young Furr, 56, died this morning at her home on Rt. 6, near Gay’s Chapel Church. She had been in failing health for eight months and seriously ill for about 30 days. A native of Davidson County, she was born August 30, 1893, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew) Young. She was first married to Wiley Yates. After his death, she was married in 1943 to William T. Furr, who survives. Other survivors are two sons, Floyd Yates of Copel, W. Va., and Charles Alvin Yates of Jacksonville, Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. Eva Starnes of Cabarrus County, Mrs. Jeff Griffin of Pink Hill, and Mrs. Margaret McPhatter of Rose Hill; and six grandchildren. Mrs. Furr was a member of North Main Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 pm., Sunday at Summersett Funeral Chapel by Rev. E. L.
