Death

Russell Owen Mitchell, 83 of Pulaski, went to be with the Lord January 5, 2020. He was born in Pulaski, on January 2, 1937 and was the son of the late Wilmer Banks Mitchell and Ardith B. Mitchell. He was a former manager of Highland Memory Gardens, a United States Marine Corp. veteran, and was a faithful member of the Pulaski Church of God since 1967. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mary Ann Graham Mitchell. He leaves behind 2 daughters, Patricia M. Furr of Denver, NC, Lisa Mitchell Rolen (James) of Roanoke; son; Rusty Mitchell (Lori L.) of Pulaski. 3 grandchildren; Ashley P. Showalter of Roanoke, Daniel S. Mitchell (Carah C.) of Dublin, and Sarah N. Mitchell of Pulaski: 4 great-grandchildren; Ulrich Lee Mitchell, Koen Lane Mitchell, Aven Luke Mitchell all of Dublin, and Emberlynn Mary Martin of Pulaski. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at the Pulaski Church of God 1621 Bob White Blvd. with Pastor Donald Jones officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the church from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be on Thursday privately.
