Death
Graham Wilson Lea, age 95 of West End passed away on Friday, February 11, 2011 at St. Joseph of the Pines Health Center in Southern Pines, NC. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Culdee Presbyterian Church in Eastwood with Rev. Tom Spence officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Born on August 26, 1915 in Franklin County, NC to the late Yearby Warren Lea and Fannie Martha Jeffreys Lea. He was a veteran of his country and served in the United States Navy during WWII. He spent his life farming and owning and operating Eastwood Service Station until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of Culdee Presbyterian Church in Eastwood for many years. He is survived by his three sons: Bill Lea, Jimmy Lea, and Wayne Lea all of Eastwood, NC; four daughters: Beverly McCaskill of Greensboro, NC; Eve Williamson of Eastwood, NC; Darlene Montesanti of Eastwood, NC; Robbie McInnis of West End, NC. He is also survived by two brothers: Robert E. Lea of Carthage, NC and Warren Lea of Wilmington, NC. Mr.Lea was survived by 25 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice B. Lea in 2001; a daughter, Belinda Bohlander; a brother, Sidney Lea and three sisters: Hazel Dennis, Pauline Stone, and Elsie Radford. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Boles Funeral Home in Pinehurst.Endnotes
