Death
Last rites for Mrs. Clemmie Hightower Wright, who passed away July 10 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O. L. Jackson, Columbus, were held at New Hope church Wednesday afternoon, July 11th at four o'clock with the Rev. C. B. Hamlet III, officiating. Mrs. Wright was born in Webster County April 8, 1869 and in 1893 was married to J. W. Wright. In addition to Mrs. Jackson, she leaves two other daughters, Miss Annie Wright, Como, Mrs. J. A. Rietti, Jackson, and a step-daughter, Miss Mary Wright, Ruleville; three sons, H. C. (Jack) Wright, Winona, W. E. Wright, Tunica, Guy W. Wright, Memphis, and a step-son, R. Y. Wright of Inverness; two sisters, Mrs. T. E. Vickery, Memphis, and Miss Hensie Hightower of Jackson. Fourteen grandchildren also survive.The Winona Times, Winona, Missisippi, July 20, 1945
