Death
William "Bill" W. Mitchum, 76, a former school teacher in Phoenix, died June 24, 1986, at Humana Hospital Phoenix. Mr. Mitchum, of Phoenix, was born in St. Matthews, S.C., and moved to Arizona in 1922 from Colorado Springs, Colo. He was a World War II Marine veteran and a member of the Masons and Scottish Rite. Survivors include his wife, Willa; daughter, Patti Furr; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N.
