Death
Capt Benjamin Franklin Houston was the son of Aaron Houston and Esther Walker. He was born near Matthews, Mecklenburg, North Carolina. His family moved to the Abbeville/Oxford Mississippi area. He married Martha Driver 22 Dec 1853 in Lafayette Co, Mississippi and later moved to McKinney, Collin, Texas. Their children were Giles G Houston, Mary Martha Houston Nelson, Julia Elizabeth Houston Brown (my great grandmother), Esther (Ettie)Houston Smith, Dick Franklin Houston, and Cebe Alec Houston. He died at home on 21 Apr 1902 and was buried 22 Apr 1902 in Pecan Grove. His wife Martha is buried beside him.Endnotes
