Death

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at Antioch Baptist church for Mrs. Maggie Tucker Kiker, 58, who died at 11:40 o'clock Tuesday night. Mrs. Kiker, who was Miss Maggie Tucker, was born in Stanly county November 14, 1885, daughter of Mrs. Winnie Tucker and the late Thomas Tucker. She had spent most of her life since her marriage to J. E. Kiker as a resident of Union county and held membership in Antioch church. Mrs. Kiker leaves the following sons and daughters: Albert and Claude Kiker of Concord, Lonnie Kiker of Charlotte, Wilfred Kiker of Midland, Mrs. Roy Baucom of Monroe, Mrs. Earl Baucom of Union county, Mrs. Brice Furr of Stanfield, and Mrs. Titus Eudy and Misses Martha and Virginia Kiker of the home, and 17 grandchildren. Surviving also are four brothers, Matthew Tucker of Charlotte, Titus Tucker of Red Cross, Travis Tucker of Stanfield, and Fred Tucker who is engaged in work overseas. Her aged mother, Mrs. Winnie Tucker, also survives.
