Notes
Death
Mr. James McCoy died Wednesday morning at his home in Goose Creek township. Mr. McCoy was a good old man and was respected by all. He was eighty-four years old, and served Lee and Jackson for four yeas fighting for the Lost Cause. Mr. McCoy had been in feeble health for some time and combined with old age, a complication of ills hastened his death. The deceased is survived by three daughters, Messrs. Henry and Tillman McCoy and Mesdames L. Kiker, J. C. Williams and L. J. Medlin, all of Goose Creek township. Mr. Mcoy was a member of the Hopewell Baptist church, and his remains were interred in the Antioch graveyard yesterday. The Monroe Journal, Monroe, North Carolina, May 15, 1914
