Death

Ronald Louis Bouley, 76, formerly a long time resident of Charlotte, NC and Indian Land, SC passed away on July 4, 2024 in Metropolis, IL. Born on April 16, 1948, in Columbia, SC, he was a son to the late C.L. "Bud" Bouley and Doris Jane Bouley. Ronald proudly served in the Navy before embarking on a career as a printer, from which he retired after many dedicated years. Ron was known for his love of billiards, bowling, and watching Hallmark Christmas movies, hobbies that brought joy into his retirement years. His commitment to service continued beyond his military career, impacting those around him through his community involvement and personal interactions. He is remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Ron is survived by his five children, Robert Bouley, Amy Furr (Patrick), Stephanie Kithcart (Lawrence), Jonathan Bouley (Lacey), Darian Bouley (Brittany); 14 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He also leaves behind two brothers, Ray Bouley and Ricky Bouley. A service to celebrate Ron's life will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Matthews United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Louisville, KY in his memory. Ron's legacy of kindness and dedication to his family and country will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him. Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah, KY is in charge of arrangements.
