Death

Willie Laura Poe Hatley, 83, of Concord passed away on Monday, November 8, 2010. Born on August 1, 1927 in Cabarrus County to the late James Floyd and Lillie Mae Wilburn Poe. Also preceded in death by her husband Arnold Coy Hatley, Sr., brother James Poe, sisters Carolyn Poe Lockleer, Betty Poe Kisler, and Savannah Poe Donner, and step-grandchild Brian McNeely, Jr. Willie retired from Concord Telephone Company with 28 years of service. The family meeting place will be at the home of Arnold Hatley, Jr. at 4153 Irish Woods Drive Concord, NC 28025. Memorial services will be held at Forest Hill United Methodist Church on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 2 PM, with Rev. David Hobson officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Survived by: sons, Arnold C. Hatley and wife Brenda of Concord, and John H. Hatley and wife Alisa of Concord; grandchildren, Natalie Hatley Ledbetter and husband Parker, Laura Hatley Freeman and husband Craig, John Hatley Jr., Matthew Hatley, and Whitney Hatley; great-grandchildren, Parker Ledbetter, Sophie Ledbetter, Peyton Freeman, and Jordan Freeman; step-grandchildren, Greg McNeely and wife Monica, Gary McNeely, Jr. and wife Carrie, and Sarah McNeely; step-great-grandchildren, Lane and Cody McNeely, Josiah and Chloe McNeely, and Connor and Griffin McNeely; brother, Jack W. Poe of Kissimmee, FL; sisters, Leola W. Poe Smith of Concord, and Mary Poe Hilton of China Grove.
