Death

Carolyn Sue Kirby, 79, of North Little Rock passed away May 11, 2024. She was born July 18, 1944, in Little Rock, Ark., to the late F.E. and Geraldine (Furr) Stage. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was welcomed into Heaven by her brother, Jimmy Don Stage. Fondly remembered for her adventurous spirit, kind heart, and unmistakable stubbornness, Carolyn's zest for life was evident in her love for travel. She explored nearly every corner of the United States alongside friends, embracing new experiences with open arms. When not on the road, she delighted in nurturing her yard and doting on her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carolyn's outgoing nature was matched only by her eagerness to embrace the unknown, whether it was trying exotic foods or engaging in new activities. Those left to cherish the memories of Carolyn include her daughter, Karen (Knight) Chudy and husband, Dennis; son, Jerry Kirby and his wife, Tracey; grandchildren, David, Brittany, Erika, Alex, Meghan, and Justin (Stormie); great-grandchildren, Hayden, Bailey, Kassie, Ronnie, Riley, Flynn, Mason, and Aubrie; sister, Cookie (Tom) Blythe; and two nephews, Daniel (Suky) and Nathan Blythe.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 20, 2024, at Griffin-Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home with burial to follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be the evening prior, Sunday, May 19, 2024, 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
