Death

The funeral service for the late William Robert Jarrell, age 81, was held at 10 a. m. today in the Poole Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Fred B. Moseley, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating the religious rites, assisted by the Rev. Dr. R. S. Crawford, pastor of the West Side Emmanuel Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Willow Grove Cemetery of Collins, Miss. Mr. Jarrell passed away yesterday morning at the Washington-St. Tammany Parish Hospital following a long illness. He was 81 years of age. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Martha Yawn Jarrell, of the family residence on Avenue I; two daughters, Mrs. Mary McQueen of Bogalusa and Mrs. Fred Cooper of Alexandria, La.; and he also leaves a grandson, Lynwood McQueen of New Orleans. Four sisters who survive are Mesdames Lena Mulford, Albert Smith, of Derby, Miss.; Ily Spears, of McNeill, Miss. and G. A. Alexander, of Jackson, Miss.
