Concepcion C. "Siony" Ackerman, 67, wife of Billie M. Ackerman, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in the Philippines, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Arpon. Survivors include her husband of Sumter; three children, Philmary Arpon of the Philippines, William "Mike" Ackerman (Tina) of Sumter and Rondalyn Ackerman-Furr (Paul) of Columbia; eight grandchildren; two sisters; and a brother. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with Karolan Ohanesian officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at 1739 Clover St., Sumter.Endnotes
