Notes
Death
News of the sudden death of Mrs. Nellie Longley Rauch, wife of E.C. Rauch of this city, was received by her numerous friends and acquaintances in city and county with profound sorrow and regret. The deceased possessed a noble and generous character always bright and cheerful, aiding others with the spirit of good will and charity that makes her taking off more lamentable to those who knew her intimately. Mrs. Rauch was born in Raisinville, this county, Jan. 1st, 1860, and was the daughter of Mr. Levi Longley, of the First Ward, and April 20th, 1880, was married to Mr. E.C. Rauch. About 7 years ago Mr. and Mrs. Rauch removed to this city where they have since resided. The deceased was ill but about ten days, and was stricken with paralysis, and died at 2 o'clock Saturday morning. She leaves a husband and 2 children to mourn her death. Funeral services were held at the residence on north Macomb street Sunday afternoon and were largely attended. Rev. W. B. Pope officiated. The Monroe Democrat, July 28, 1892
