Death
Donna Sue Robison passed away peacefully December 9, 2018 in Silsbee, Texas at the age of 77. She was born July 11, 1941, in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area and later migrated to Southeast Texas in 1972; living the past twenty years of her life as a resident of Buna, Texas.Donna (or "Ma" as she was affectionately called by all of her grandchildren) was a woman of many talents, and worked as a cashier, cosmetologist, and floral designer. She was a self- taught master seamstress and confectioner, who made exceptional divinity, fudge, and cheesecakes and she loved to garden and was always surrounded by her favorite plants and fresh vegetables. Donna possessed a big heart and an extra-strong mothering instinct. Over the years, she helped raise additional children and animals, helped take care of the elderly, and had special bonds with each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in numerous capacities there, where she developed many life-long friendships and a large extended network of church family and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Leroy "Jack" Blackwell and Lola Maxine Logsdon, her sister Linda Sierman, and her brother Garland "Sonny" Blackwell. She will be greatly missed by those who survived her; brothers David Blackwell and wife Carol, and Richard Blackwell; son Rodney Allen Robison and his wife Debra, and daughter Kelli Darlene Joyner and her husband Jon, seven grandchildren; Kasie, Rodney, Dustin, Danielle, Rachel, Roxanne, and Destiny., and thirteen (soon to be fourteen) great grandchildren. Many thanks to our friends and neighbors of the Buna community that served to make Donna's life rich and full during the last two decades of her life. Your kindness can never be repaid. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Farmer Funeral Home, 415 N. 4th Street, Silsbee, TX. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1475 TX-62, Buna, TX 77612.
