Death

Mark Kenneth Chambers, 61, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023, in Southaven, MS. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven (626 Star Landing Road East, Southaven, MS 38672). A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven. Interment will be at Desoto Memorial Gardens (630 Star Landing Road East, Southaven, MS 38672). Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven is in charge of arrangements. Mark was born April 4, 1962, in Tunica, MS. He was a loving husband to his wife, exceptional father to his children, caring paw paw, and just a great friend overall. He enjoyed fishing and going to the casino. Football was his favorite sport and he would watch it religiously. Watching game shows was something he would do in his down time. You would definitely hear Mark before you would see him, because his loud voice would carry wherever he was. He is survived by his wife, Betty Harris Chambers, of Southaven; children, Robert Chambers, of Southaven, Darryl (Ashley) Chambers, of Southaven, Matthew (Kelsi Thomas) Chambers, Jennifer Rose, of West Memphis, AR, Amy (Jason) Osteen, of Southaven, and Kenneth Harris, of Laurel, MS; brother, Scott Chambers, of TX; two nephews, Daniel Chambers and Christopher Chambers; thirteen grandchildren, Allyson Rose, Taylor Harris, Bayleigh Chambers, Zoey Chambers, Warren Harris, Brilyn Osteen, Braxtyn Chambers, Layleigh Chambers, Maelyn Chambers, Emersyn Chambers, and Rynlee Chambers.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Chambers and Martha Furr Chambers; his son, Lamar Franklin Chambers; and a grandchild, Landon Harris.
