Death

Donald N. Coleman, 72, passed away Feb 27, 2011 in Bremerton. Formerly of both Eugene and Redmond, OR, Donald was born May 12, 1938 in Ogallala, NE, to Neal Paul and Marie (Brown) Coleman. He attended high school in Canby, OR, before enlisting in the U.S. Navy. He served in San Diego, Hawaii, Maine, & Oregon; & on the USS Forster, USS Okinawa, USS Constellation & USS Enterprise. He was a veteran of the Korean & Vietnam Conflicts, & retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 1977. Following his retirement, he worked as both a mechanic & a trucker. He is survived by wife, Katherine (Bell) Coleman; daughters, Theresa Duval of Moore, OK, Dawna Furr of Arizona City, AZ, Dianne Sellers of Bremerton, WA, Cindy Roane of Eugene, OR, & Olivia Haro of Bend, OR; sister, Sharon Dunn of Milwaukee, OR; brother, Ronald Coleman of Aurora, OR; & 11 grandchildren. A graveside service will be Friday, March 4 at 12 p.m. at Zion Memorial Park in Canby, OR, followed by a Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. at the American Legion in Canby.
