Death
GILBERT (Special) — Funeral services for Allen E. Emfinger, 88, of Gilbert, who died Monday in Concordia General Hospital at Ferriday after a short illness, were at 2 p.m. today. The Rev. Carey Sharbono and Dr. Randall Sledge officiated in Calvary Baptist Church and burial under direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro was in Oakley Cemetery at Gilbert. A retired farmer, Mr. Emfinger was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mattie Bell Robinson of Bloomington, Calif., Mrs. Otis Furr of Wisner, Mrs. Vergie Chapman of Winnsboro and Mrs. Lucy Newman of Ferriday; one son, Marcus Emfinger of Winnsboro; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
