Patesville, Miss, Aug. 20. — (Special.) — Mis Kate Orr of Quitman county and Joe Sailors of Poplar Bluff, Mo., met by previous arrangement at Harrison Station, from whence they came to this place and were married this evening at 8:30 o'clock, the Rev. K. M. Harrison officlating. They were accompanied by Harmon Orr, the brother of the bride. The mother of the girl was violently opposed to the match, hence the runaway scheme. Mr. and Mrs. Sailors leave for Alabama on the morning train.Marriage
BATESVILLE Miss, Jan. 4. — S. M. Furr and Mrs. Orr Little, both of near Enid, were married at the courthouse at noon today by Rev. R. A. N. Wilson of Batesville. The groom is a prominent farmer residing in the southern part of the county.She is listed as a widow in the 1940 census.

Memphis Resident Dies At Age Of 82Mrs. Kate Furr died at 10:15 last night at 832 Wrenwood, where she made her home with a niece, Mrs. J. B. Shaw. She was Mrs. Furr was born in Webb, Miss., and came to Memphis 15 years ago. She was a member of the Enid, Miss., Baptist Church. Mclnnis-Porter Funeral Home of Clarksdale, Miss., has charge.
