Death

Mrs. Dorothy Moss Lee, 98, of 467 Union Cemetery Road, Concord, died Tuesday, March 4, 1997, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. She was born in Catawba County June 29, 1898, and was a daughter of the late Will and Essie Brown Moss. She was retired from Cannon Mills Plant #10, and was a member of West Concord Baptist Church. Her husband, Ranzie Lester Lee, died in 1960. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Joyce Coley and Mrs. Lorene Dorton, both of Concord, Mrs. Neve Mae Cooke of Kannapolis; and Mrs. Betty Marie Cranford of Panama City, Fla.; one son, William Boyd Lee of Concord; one sister, Mrs. Maggie Dagenhart of Long Island, N.C.; two brothers, Tommy Moss and Willard Moss, both of Statesville; 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Funeral services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Mike Farley officiating. Burial was to be in the Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery. The family was to receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
