Death

Letha Jane Baucom Taylor 90, of Matthews, died Wednesday at home. Funeral service will be 2 PM Friday at Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Larry Austin officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7-9 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, 4431 Old Monroe Road. Mrs. Taylor was born October 28, 1912 in Union County to the late Lonnie and Sarah Ida Medlin Baucom. Her husband Roy Worth Taylor also preceded Letha in death. She worked many years for Conbraco before retiring. She is survived by daughters, Royce Jane Rowell and husband Jerry, Judy Lane Furr and husband Harold, all of Indian Trail, son, Armen Worth Taylor, of the home, sister, Madge Little, of Monroe, 7 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild and 8 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church c/o Barry Helms 3020 Rochester Ct. Monroe, NC 28110. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Indian Trail / Matthews Chapel.
