Death

Elizabeth "Ann" Drake Furr Lucas, of Stanfield, NC, died in her home, September 19, 2010. She was born November 14, 1940 to Grady Alexander Drake and Mary Elizabeth Garmon Drake. Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her brother, Kenneth Drake of Concord; sister, Merle Whitley of Midland; daughters, Julie Pinion of Stanfield, Joan Tolson of Midland; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Ms. Lucas was a member of West Stanly Baptist Church where a memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in her honor to West Stanly Baptist Church, 24172 Hwy. 24/27, Albemarle, NC 28001. Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland, is serving the Lucas family.
