Death

Modesto, California - Victor Ray Genova, 57, of Modesto, CA passed away peacefully August 26, 2022. He was born in Modesto, CA to Dominic Genova and Betty (Furr) Genova. Victor attended grade school in Modesto and at Fred C. Beyer High School in Modesto where he was very active in Auto Shop. He won the VICA award in high school for welding during the Olympic Skills Trials. Victor loved to work on engines and started at the early age of 14 doing what he loved at Discount Auto Electric. Vic was know for his advanced skill of working on alternators and engines. Victor worked for several years at Thomas Equipment Rentals, United Rentals and High Reach all in Modesto, CA. He was one of the best mechanics in the area and many sought his advice on fixing any and everything. His children Vickie, Anthony and Vincent were his pride and joy. He would say to everyone that his kids were the best part of him. He taught both his boys at an early age about mechanics and they all shared the love of working on cars together. Victor loved to spend time with friends and work on his truck and motorcycle. He grew up camping, water skiing, hunting, 4 wheeling and dirt bike riding. He leaves behind family and friends whom he loved very much. He is survived by his parents Dominic and Betty Genova, his sister Angelia (Genova) Leipelt, sons Anthony Ty Genova and Vincent Dominic Genova (Rhonda Richardson) and Vickie Rae Genova (Jacklyn Genova) and numerous family members. Memorial Graveside Service to be held at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery in Oakdale CA at 11:30am on October 8th, 2022.
