Sandra Lynne Pease Graciano, age 81 years, of San Antonio, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on December 26, 2023. Sandra was born on December 8, 1942, on a brisk winter day with a light wind in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Dorothy May (Haas) and Carleton G. Pease. She had a wonderful childhood with her parents and brother in Michigan playing on the banks of the area lakes. She was very active in different groups in high school and college, especially with students from different areas of the world. She loved learning different languages and was fluent in English and Spanish and additionally had a strong working knowledge of French, Mandarin, Chinese as well as some Latvian. She attended Western Michigan University with studies in Spanish and Social Work, but later obtained her teaching degree from the University of Texas in San Antonio. She spent the early part of her career as a social worker for the Battered Womens Shelter in San Antonio. Later, she devoted extensive years engaging with small communities in Mexico through the Episcopal Diocese of Northern Mexico-her true calling. She was an active member at St. Lukes Episcopal Church with the Altar Guild, Women of the Church, Lay Readers, Vestry, Childrens Ministries and other areas of service. Her greatest gift in life was her unabashed and demonstrative love for her family. She was also an avid amateur of canine psychology and had an unmatched love of dogs. She loved to sew and could be found sketching landscapes, wolves or unicorns then turning them into household art. Sandra is survived by her four children Russell Taylor Ross (Ewa Maria Frolich-Ross), Coralyn Marie Balcuns-Furr (Robert Drew Furr), Francisco Miguelangel Graciano and Maricela Xochimilco Graciano-Ramos; 11 grandchildren Christopher Anthony Cerda Ross, Madison Marie Furr-McClaugherty (Dylan Tanner McClaugherty), Aspen Chondeen Ross-Ortiz (Oscar Ortiz), Caroline Brooke Furr, Courtney Nicole Furr-Pinegar (Willem Derby Michael Pinegar), Taylor Andrew Ross, Cassandra Amber Ross, Robert Austin Furr, Amaya Xochimilco Ramos, Santiago Ricardo Ramos and Travis Walker Furr; and 2 great-granddaughters Ireland Marie McClaughtery and Ava Lynne Ortiz.
