Death
Maxine McCloure was born November 24, 1927, in Gay, Oklahoma, the daughter of Luther and Lucy (Rackley) Bell. She lived in this area most of her life, graduating from Goodland High School in 1945. She attended Waxahachie Christian College and earned her business degree. She married Horace H.E. McCloure on March 31, 1950, in Atoka, OK. Maxine worked as a secretary for J.C. Penney and Wards Ice Cream, and was a seamstress at the Wells Lamont Glove Factory. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and picking up pecans. Maxine always had a smile on her face, and you would never hear her complain. She loved spending time with her family, listening to stories, and telling Brian to "shut-up". She was a member of the First Assembly of God church where she taught Sunday School. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, H.E. in 2001; stepson, Gene McCloure in 1975; eight siblings, Otis Bell, Carmen Bell, O.J. Bell, Lloyd Bell, Junior Bell, Arlie Bell, Dorothy Stephens, Irene Bruner. Maxine is survived by two sons, Chester McCloure of Clarksville, TX, Brian McCloure and wife Tiffany of Hugo, OK with whom she resided; three daughters, Phyllis Furr and husband Haskell of Hugo, OK, Glenda Taylor and husband Ricky of Hugo, OK, Carol Stafford and husband Robert of Broken Bow, OK; six stepchildren; grandchildren, Nikki Jeffreys, Lisa O'Neill, Eric Taylor, Kile Furr, Christopher McCloure-Grace, Michael Stafford, Sara Stafford, Andrea Lash, Christian McCloure, Brian McCloure Jr., Brandon McCloure, Brayden McCloure, Scott McCloure, Doug McCloure; six great-grandchildren; special caregiver, Helen Bills; family historian and niece, Georgia de la Vega; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.Endnotes
