HENDERSON -- Lawrence William "Larry" Healy, 66, a resident of 1025 Dabney Drive, died Wednesday at Maria Parham Hospital. He was a native of New York City and was the son of the late John Joseph and Leontine Veronica Fredericks Healy. He was a retired cosmetic chemist for Tri-K Industries, Inc., and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He was a member of the Society of Cosmetics Chemists, American Chemical Society, American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists, The Order of The Long Leaf Pine, Friends of the Library and the Vance County Art Society. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 AM at St. James Catholic Church by Father J. William Long. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his friend, Edna Nunnery, of Henderson; three sons, Robert Edward Healy and wife, Stephanie, of Dallas, TX, Michael John Healy and wife, Carrie, of Boulder, CO, and Lawrence William Healy of Dallas, TX; two daughters, Loretta Marie Carswell and husband, Andrew, of Suffolk, VA, and Theresa Healy Furr of Charlotte; three grandsons, Kevin McGettigan Furr, Sean Martin Furr and Michael Patrick Carswell; one sister, Loretta Healy Murphy and husband, John, of Davenport, FL. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7-8:30 PM at the J. M. White Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Bob Healy, Michael Healy, Larry Healy, Chris Ducey, Michael Ducey, Brendan Ducey, Jack Burroughs and Ron Dorsey. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church Building Fund, 3275 U.S. 158 By-Pass, Henderson, NC 27537. Arrangements are by the J. M. White Funeral Home, 60 Zeb Robinson Road, Henderson, NC 27536.Endnotes
