Death
Mr. Troy Chester Leach, age 91, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022, at his home. He was born March 23, 1930, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, a son of the late Elmer Thomas Leach and Macy Johnson-Leach. Mr. Leach served in the United States Army and was an Aircraft Mold Designer and later a Fiberglass Boat Manufacturer. He was also an ordained minister and lived out his faith every day. Mr. Leach enjoyed playing the guitar, gardening, and watching hummingbirds. He was a patriarch and jokester who never met a stranger. Mr. Leach loved his children, grandchildren, and he was adored by his family. Mr. Leach is survived by his four daughters, Deborah Leach-Furr (DeWayne) of Burelson, TX, Diana Leach Stout (Timothy) of Little River, SC, Donna Leach Byrnes (Michael) of Boiling Green, Ohio, and Angie Dobbins (Tommy) of Waxhaw, NC; ten grandchildren, Chet, Diana “Deedee”, Brooke-Cillay (Jeff), Jared (Mary), Matthew, Michael (Fernada), Taylor (Shawn), DeWayne, Jr, Derrick, and Jacob; and nine great grandchildren. Mr. Leach was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Leach; his parents, Elmer and Macy Leach; a sister, Pauline Collins; and three brothers, Glenn Leach, Dalton Leach, and Cleo Leach. The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mr. Leach will be 2:00 pm Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Belair United Methodist Church Cemetery officiated by Rev. Tommy Howell.
