Death

Amanda Marie Furr, 29, died on Saturday, March 31, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. She was a proud and dedicated mother to her daughter Ashlyn Lee Connor, age 4. Ashlyn often referred to her Mommy as her best friend. Amanda was the loving daughter of Douglas and Kathleen Furr, sister to Rob Hassinger (Katie), awesome aunt to Carter, Kade and Amelia Hassinger. She is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins whom she loved very much. Amanda was born on September 29, 1988, in Woodbridge, Virginia. She graduated from North Stafford High School, and went on to pursue her passion of working with children, which she was involved in for the last 10 years. Amanda believed, as so many of us do, that the children are our future and she took care to be a positive influence and a daily presence, not only in her daughter’s life, but in the lives of many other children, illustrating a commitment to doing her part to make the world a better place by teaching empathy, understanding, and caring for all. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 7 at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford. Interment will be private.
