Death
Sharon Kay Bolin, 69, of Stamford passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023 in the Haskell Hospital surrounded by her family. Family will receive guests from 6-7 pm Sunday, September 3 at Kinney-Underwood Funeral Home. A celebration of Sharon's life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 4 at the First Baptist Church located at 214 North Swenson Street in Stamford, with pastors Paul Wright and Dan Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Tuxedo. Sharon was born September 2, 1953 in Stamford. She is the daughter of J.B. and Dorothy Strand Schoonmaker, whom she loved and was very proud of the Schoonmaker family. Sharon was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Stamford. In her younger years Sharon was active in the Stamford Jr. Sherriff's posse and competed in barrel racing. She graduated from Stamford High School in 1972 where she was a Stamford Bulldog Cheerleader. She married Austin "Buddy" Bolin, June 16, 1973 in Stamford. Together they enjoyed dove hunting, fishing, and family gatherings.Some of Sharon's passions include watching classic movies on television, being pampered by her girls, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents J.B. and Dorothy Strand Schoonmaker; brother Darryl Schoonmaker and son Aaron Bolin. She is lovingly survived by her husband Austin "Buddy" Bolin of Stamford; daughters Heather René and Chuck Furr of Azle, Mindy Gail and Shi Flow of Stamford; grandchildren Haylee Furr of Azle, Lauren and Robert Razo of Azle, Cullen Furr of Azle, Shylie Brie' Flow of Stamford, Baylor Heath Flow of Stamford; brother John Haby and Jane Schoonmaker of Carrolton; sister Linda and Guy Eastep of Crandell, Texas; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like for any memorials made in Sharon's name be to MDA Muscular Dystrophy Association at mda.org.
