Julia Altarae Russell Lowder CONCORD -- Mrs. Lowder, 91, of St. Andrews Living Center, Concord, died May 4, 2006. She was born April 11, 1915 in Stanly County. Visitation is 2-3 p.m. Sunday at Hartsell Funeral Home-Concord. Funeral is 3 p.m. Sunday, May 7 at Hartsell Funeral home Chapel-Concord. Rev. Deval Mason will officiate. Burial will be in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Albemarle. Mrs. Lowder was an avid quilter, she enjoyed doing crochet work and gardening. She was also a homemaker. The family will meet at 427 Hudson Drive, Harrisburg, NC. Mrs. Lowder was formerly of Harrisburg and Stanly County. Survivors include daughter, Julia Lowder Furr and husband, John of Harrisburg; son, Sparrell C. Lowder and wife, Linda of Harrisburg; sister, Lula 'Russ' Eury of Concord; grandchildren, Jeff Furr of Richfield and Debbie Furr of Mt. Pleasant, NC, Jacquie Fisher and husband Jeff of Lincolnton, Michelle Slocum and husband John of Lebonan, OH, Joellyn Padgett and husband Kenneth of Concord; great-grandchildren, Tiffanie and Jessica Furr of Richfield, Jake and Julianne Fisher of Lincolnton, Katellyn and Trevor Padgett of Concord. She was preceded in death by husband, Carl C. Lowder (died, February 23, 1983) and her father and mother, Travis T. Russell and Martha Louise (Hudson) Russell. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Boy Scout Road, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
