RICHLANDS  -  Lois Evelyn Davis Arnold, 84, of Richlands, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at her home surrounded by family in the 5 Mile area of Onslow County. Mrs. Arnold was born February 2nd, 1937, in Richlands to the late Burrell and Margaret Whitman Davis and was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jerry Arnold and her sister, Yvonne Batchelor and brothers, Marshall Davis and David Davis. The family will receive friends Sunday 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Richlands Chapel. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 14, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Davis Family Cemetery. She is survived by her four sisters, Frances Roberts, Betty King, Margaret Weber and Angie Thomas; one daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Arnold Furr of Santa Clarita, CA; one son, John H. Arnold (Martha) of Monroe; seven grandchildren, Justin Furr (Sarah) Kristen Kulez(Jon). Alison Chaney (Keith). Ashley Braswell(GW). Jesse Arnold, Aurora Arnold and Ralphie Arnold; five great-grandchildren, Conner Furr, Kayden Furr, Joseph Arnold, Paityn Braswell and Luca Arnold Pope; and her most loyal companion, Taz. Lois was a believer in Christ, a loving and devoted mother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone who needed it. She loved gardening and shared her bounty with others in the community. She will be missed by many.
