"John" spent many years at Community Memorial Hospital as a unit secretary until her retirement, and then began her catering business where many will remember her for the outstanding ham biscuits, rolls, and cheese straws to mention a few. When not cooking, her favorite "job" was "Meme" to six grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, spoiling each of them in her own special way. "Meme" was the life of the party and enjoyed traveling with family and friends especially to the beach. A faithful member of Rehobath, she would again be found in the kitchen for the wonderful fundraisers, church meals and Bible school. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home with interment to follow in Canaan Church Cemetery. The family asks that memorial considerations be directed to Rehoboth Cemetery Association, 116 Longwood Drive, Bracey, Va. 23919.Endnotes
