Death
A Charlotte man and three Concord residents died early Sunday in a head-on collision near Troy. Killed were David Furr, 28, of 6314-B Old Pineville Rd., and Sally Fowler Crutchfield, 36, Richard Cowley Crutchfield, 38, and Wendie Renee Crutchfield, 15, all of Concord. N.C. Highway Patrolman H.S. Phipps said Mr. Furr's car crossed the centerline on N.C. 24 and hit the Crutchfields’ car head-on.The Charlotte News, Charlotte, North Carolina, August 6, 1984
VASS — Mr. David Furr, 29, heavy equipment painter, died Sunday. Funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bass Church of God. Survivors are parents, Jimmie and Geraldine Furr; brothers, Jimmie Furr, Jody Furr, Jonathan Furr, Paul Furr; sisters, Miss Penelopie Furr, Miss Virginia Furr, Miss Jennifer Furr; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Baker of Fayetteville. Powell of Southern Pines is in charge.
