Death
Joan H. Lambert, 65, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord held by her husband and two girls. Joan was born February 28, 1955 in Stanly County to the late Frank Eli Hatley and Wilma W. Hatley. She was a loving and devoted wife of 47 years, married to her teenage sweetheart having been together since the age of 13. She dedicated her entire life to her husband and two girls and then, when her grand-babies came along it just got richer and fuller. Mama was the center and the backbone to our family. She was the kindest, most loving, most giving, and most loyal person you will ever meet. She committed to, and put her whole self into everyone and everything she has ever done. Life to her, was about making everyone else happy and making sure everyone else was taken care of. There will never be another like her, and anyone who was lucky to have met her was blessed by her and a better person for knowing her. She has left us with a great void and emptiness that will never be filled, but we will live the rest of our days honoring her and carrying out her purpose. The world was a better place because of her. Her love was "bigger than the sky". The family will have a Memorial Service on Sunday, March 28,2021, at 2:00pm at the Lodge on Hatley Farm, 28338 Hatley Farm Road, Albemarle, NC 28001. Survivors include husband, Kevin Lambert of Stanly County, NC, daughters, Kelli (Daniel) Lambert Furr, Karman (Steven) Lambert Huneycutt , grand-babies, Karsyn, Grant, Kailey, Jaret, and Brynli, mother, Wilma Evelyn Hatley, sisters, Frankie Gail Harris of Albemarle, NC, Jean Page of Locust, NC, brother, Donnie Hatley of Albemarle, NC.
