Death

James Lee Howard Mr. Howard, 84, died at his residence Wednesday, May 26, 2004 surrounded by his family. Graveside service for Mr. Howard will be held on Saturday, May 29, at 3:00 PM in Pineville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service from 7:00-8:30 PM Friday evening. Mr. Howard was born in Mecklenburg, County, September 19, 1919 son of the late James Hamilton and Lula Pitman Howard. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and was retired from Western Electric after 42 years. Survivors include his wife, Anarah S. Howard; son, Frank Furr and his wife, Marsha; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donor's Choice.
