Death

Boonville - Phyllis Powell Shore, 79, passed away January 31, 2021. She was born November 20, 1941 in Davie County to the late Haywood and Louise Bumgarner Powell. She was a member of Deep Creek Friends Meeting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son-in-law Matt Williams. She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Bill Shore of the home, son Timothy Shore of Winston-Salem, daughter Sandra (Brad) Furr of Amelia, Virginia, grandson Ben Williams and fiance Kellie Beam, granddaughter, Kendall Williams, brother Hilary (Margaret) Powell and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Quate officiating. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 3rd from 12 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Pleasant UMC Cemetery Trust Fund, 1524 Nebo Road, Boonville, NC 27011. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. James S. McGrath and Yadkin Nursing Center for their care and compassion. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Shore family.
