Death

Mrs. Vicky Joanne Wilkinson Long, 68, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, at Tucker Hospice House. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, at Revolution Church, 310 Brookdale St., Kannapolis, NC 28083, officiated by the Rev. Chris Daniel. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to the service. Please wear face covering and practice social distancing due to COVID-19. Vicky was born on Nov. 3, 1952, in Concord, to the late Harold and Betty Furr Wilkinson. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was always making everyone laugh. She liked to take charge and enjoyed trips to the beach and mountains. She is survived by her husband, Leon Arthur Long; daughter, Amy Long Daniel and husband, Chris; son, Mark Lee Long; brothers, Harold and Jim Wilkinson; grandchildren, Megan Windham and husband, Will; great-granddaughter, Isabella Windham; and soon to be great-grandson, Kendric Windham. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tucker Hospice House, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
