Mrs. Cheryl Lynn Furr, age 70, resident of Cobb County passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021. Cheryl was born on July 23, 1950 in Clarksville, Tennessee, the daughter to the late Elmer Powell and Jan Powell. She met the love of her life in high school in 1967 William “Bill “Furr and they were blessed to be married for 50 years. The marriage was blessed with two children, Allison and Geoff. Traveling, Interior Design and Entertaining people were her passions. Some of her accolades include Interning at Grace Ministries and being a rector for Tres Dias of North Georgia. Cheryl had a knack for connecting with people and she touched many lives. She loved to entertain friends and family. She was always the life of any party. Her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. Cheryl is preceded in death by her Mother and Father Elmer Powell and Jan Roach Powell., She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years William “Bill” Furr, two loving children: daughter, Allison (Furr) Banks (Brad), and son, Geoff Furr (Molly); grandchildren; Jackson Banks, Walker Banks, Cameryn Furr and many friends. Above all Cheryl was a devoted Christian and was a member of Mount Paran Church of God, Roswell Church of God, and The Church of the Apostles. The visitation for Cheryl Furr will take place at ten o’clock on Sunday morning, January 31, 2021 at the Roswell Funeral Home and Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell, Georgia. The funeral service to honor the life of Cheryl Lynn Furr will be eleven o’ clock following the visitation. The Final resting place will be Green Lawn Cemetery & Mausoleum.
