Death

Betty Macauley January 14, 1923 - June 25, 2003 Salem -- She was born in Darby, Mont. on January 14, 1923 to Wayne and Ellen Overturf. Betty was a nurse all her life, working in Portland, Ore., Dayton, Ohio, Wenatchee, Wash. and Salem. She was married to John Macauley, who preceded her in death. She belonged to the Keizer Grange, was an active member of Salem Central Seventh-day Adventist Church. She loved china painting and doll making. She is survived by her sister, Peggy Marie Weitzel of Gresham; and many nephews and nieces who will miss her. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, June Irving, Velma Nichenko, and Lena McLean, and a brother, Bud Overturf. Her remains will be interred at Creswell Pioneer Cemetery in Creswell, Ore. where she will sleep until Christ returns. Arrangements are by Keizer Funeral Chapel.
