TAMPA - Frances Furr ‘Nanny’ Smith, 66, of Tampa passed away at her daughter’s home November 26, 1997. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Russell I. Bean, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. Born June 17, 1934 in Luverne, AL, Mrs. Smith came to the Tampa area in 1952 where she and her husband retired. Survivors include her husband Clifford; three daughters, Joe Ann Adler of Lutz, Judy J. Folsom of Tampa and Sandra M. Trim of Lakeland; one son, Clifford L. Smith of Tampa; seven grandchildren, Shertle, Francine, David, Ronnie, Michael, Shawn and Ashley; one great-grandchild, Aubree; two brothers, Ray Minard and Sam a three sisters, Louise, Myrtis and Leaher. She will be missed dearly by friends and family alike. She leaves behind a family that loves her dearly and will miss her forever. The family will receive friends at the funeral home ee from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.The Tampa Tribune, Tampa, Florida, November 30, 1997
