RICHFIELD - Mrs. Zora Belle Poplin Barrier, 73, of 41501 Earl Road died Feb. 23, 1993, at Stanly Memorial Hospital in Albemarle. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mattons Grove United Methodist Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in New Bethel Lutheran Church cemetery. A native of Stanly County, she was a retired Federal Pacific employee. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Hazel Almond of Midland, Mrs. Vandora Furr, Mrs. Louise Efird, both of Albemarle, Mrs. Earlene Burris of Mount Gilead; sons, Hoyle Barrier, Caleb Barrier, both of Richfield; sisters, Mrs. Julie Leonard, Mrs. Mae Harward, Mrs. Jewell Starnes, all of Richfield; brothers, Roy C. Poplin of New London, Robert E. Poplin of Gold Hill, Arthur Poplin of Richfield; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. The family will be at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle 7-9 tonight, other times at the home of a son, Hoyle Barrier, 41385 Earl Road.
