Death
OAKBORO. Mrs Bealie Bell Furr of Route 2 died Tuesday in Mercy Hospital in Charlotte. The funeral will be 2 pm on Thursday in Hartsell's Funeral Home Chapel in Albemarle conducted by Elder Gus Parks and Elder Charles Smith. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Concord. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Mrs Furr was the daughter of the late R D and Rebecca Bowers Lowder. She was the retired owner and operator of Furr's Grocery. Survivors include her husband Charlie M Furr, her stepmother Mrs Agnes Dry Lowder of Norwood, one brother David P Lowder of Albemarle and three sisters, Mrs Rachel L Russell, Mrs A W Herlocker and Mrs Ethel Lowder all of Albemarle.Endnotes
